About
Oxford House is a heritage and cultural centre that has a thriving activity programme, lots of creative spaces (theatre, dance studio, gallery and chapel) where we provide creative projects and opportunities for our diverse community.
We are a community space; home to our own café, affordable office and venue/hire space where over 20 charitable organisations, social enterprises, and creative organisations are based.
Oxford House was established in 1884 as a community space to combat the effects of poverty on the poor of East London. Since then we have been bringing East Londoners together for culture, community and to celebrate their shared histories.
