Energie Fitness: Keep Fit for Less in Bethnal Green

February 15, 2022

Energie Fitness is a low-cost gym situated in the heart of Bethnal Green. We spoke to Operations Manager Dathan Terriss-Moses about his role and how the club hopes to bring the community together through fitness.

LBG: Can you briefly summarise what Energie Fitness is in a few sentences?

DTM: At énergie we take pride in helping our members achieve their fitness goals, building and developing each individual club to offer an excellent level of service and all the tools you need for success – all within a fun and empowering environment.

LBG: What is your role at Energie Fitness?

DTM: I am the Operations Manager and I’m responsible for managing the club and ensuring it runs smoothly and that we accommodate our customers needs and give them a world class service. My goal is to bring the Bethnal Green community together through fitness and improve everyone’s well being through exercise and positive energy.

LBG: What do you enjoy about working at Energie Fitness?

DTM: The people. We have a great team and amazing members who make the club feel like a home away from home.

LBG: When did Energie Fitness open in Bethnal Green?

DTM: Energie fitness opened in September 2014 and has been a local fitness hub in the Bethnal Green community ever since.

LBG: Have you seen any changes in the local area since then?

DTM: We have seen a lot more fitness businesses opening, we were one of the first to do it and now there is a massive fitness offering in the area.

LBG: What makes Energie Fitness special or different from other ways of keeping fit?

DTM: In the low cost gym market we pride ourselves on our world class service. Unlike some other operators we are staffed from open to close and we deliver exceptional levels of service like no other. We have something for everyone, whether it be group exercise classes, large free weights and cardio area to the best PT’s in East London, we can help you achieve your goals.

LBG: How has Energie Fitness engaged with the local community in the past?

DTM: In the past we have partnered with Good Shepperd and helped out with their cook school with school children from the Ranes Foundation School providing food and social time with the elderly in the community.

LBG: Do you have any upcoming projects at Energie Fitness that local people can get involved with?

DTM: We want to work with other local businesses in the local community and promote their products and services via our “Award Winning” energie app. This will connect our customers and the local people with a wider range of services which would positively impact the local economy. We have an open week coming up on the 14th to 20th February for Oxford House, whereby all our facilities are free for customers and employees to try, including classes, cardio and free weights area.

LBG: Is there anything else that local people should know about Energie Fitness?

DTM: We have the best prices in the area and we are running a special offer during February 2022 for £9.99 for your first month and if you refer a friend to our gym you also get 1 month free.
